You just crushed the hearts of all FM doctors. Their ceiling is 280-300k (unless clear fcfp). You start off at 290k

tbh if they clear fcfp or go private they can make more than 300k so to each their own. I can’t go private so easily The work they do is extremely important too and I don’t think it’s fair or logical to compare

In general, SC for surgical between 400-500k in public hospital while non-procedural SC is 300-400k in public hospital ?

I think it’s slightly higher. Id say 500-600k for SC procedural and surgical vs 400-500k for non procedural. I know income can be higher based on years as an SC, additional administrative positions, research contributions, additional roles, private patients
The range u stated is most likely for fresh SC. My seniors who are Cs are earning in the 350-400k range but procedural but not surgical

As a doctor, your income is guranteed. Even as an AC I average a comp of around 300k and can look to 400k as a full C. I also have a fulfilling job and can eventually go to private if I really want the big bucks. Yes the work is hard but work is also hard in other sectors

What's so hard about being a trader compared to a surgeon? As a trader if you make a mistake you can always cover back. As a surgeon if you make a mistake you're toast. Coz your patients will die. I've seen traders who blatantly disregard rules, make tonnes of money in the millions, get caught and let go with a slap to the wrist and a stern warning of not to do it again. Try the same thing as a surgeon. Lol
