Should be around 5k. The range is between 5-11k based on specialty. Procedural will be similar to surgical

Table fees ie procedural fees. So your total comp is in the 250-300k range?

Same here, I've heard conflicting information as well. With a base of $5450 (post- NS), I've been told there’s an additional clinical allowance of $500. I'm unclear if that's included in the $5450 or if it’s on top of that.
I’d really appreciate insights from seniors, as it would help us all with financial planning. To the person who suggested that we rely on rich parents—some of us have significant loans from overseas medical school to pay off, making financial planning essential.

Why didn't you do this financial planning in the first place when you planned to go overseas medical school with significant loans to pay off?
Was your plan to stay overseas?

how is he supposed to plan exact details down to the wire at that time? He must’ve considered the long term ROI rather than initial yours as a junior doc

In 2015, baby MO post NS is 4950 before clinical allowance
There wasn't clinical allowance then.
So I believe now is 5450 plus 500 clinical allowance for baby MO excluding calls
Definitely comparable or better than aussie or uk

The starting pay doesn't matter. It is the ending pay.
Anyway big money lies with procedures
Avoid non procedure specialties
Stay far far away from internal med, geri, endo, neurology, renal, patho, fam med, sports med, psychiatry, ED, nuclear med
Anything that don't need to go OT or no scope or procedure, please run far far
If you die die don't want to specialize, then do aesthetics

SG pays quite poorly as a junior.
Only UK is worse.
As an HO in auzzie I made 110k in my first year lei back in 2015.
Basic is 55k but they pay OT. And they are strict.about either paying U or giving U time off
3 hours evening call 150 bucks with 18 dollars for meals
Holiday double rate.
Work at hours outside of 8 to 5 got multipler
In HK, even as a trainee the monthly is about 15k SGD already.
I find people coming here to ask bout MO pay for ' financial planning' very funny.
U can ask ur MO la. They confirm will tell.
Infact even most consultants will tell U. I had mine just telling me his pay without even me asking.
Significant loans . Apologies man..my time the max any bank will lend U for education is 30k. Most of the time it's papa mama loans. I just google and found out U can borrow up to 160k to 200k nowadays.
Omg.
200k also like no Enuff
Seem like nearly 500k to do a med degree overseas.

Issue is Aussie damn hard to specialise in surgical/procedural specialties, even harder than SG. That’s the main reason I returned to SG right after Med school. Are you in training now?
