Obviously the promised land for doctors is to go to private healthcare. But somebody has to man the barricades in PHIs, no? Maybe doctors who are more noble and devoted to serving patients than you lor.
You're setting up strawman arguments.

You make it sound that the good pay in public healthcare market is only available to the privileged selected few destined for top leadership positions, whereas the private sector willing to reward all those willing to slot ... lol

For a specialist visit that charges $150 for a consultation, how much of that goes towards overhead (clinic rent and staff wages)? Say for instance Novena Medical Center. Thanks.

$150. That’s peanuts. I make $1000 profit off my HIFU laser machine per session.

Happy for you! In a similar boat. Meanwhile my GP friends are making 15$ per consult before rent.
1. Aesthetics
2. Specialist
3. GP
If you are not physically ugly, should consider mid career switch to aesthetics. I’ve made the switch and not looking back. Take home 25k/week. 9-5. 5.5 days/ week.
Best kept secret in medicine!
