What is "raking it in" as a locum or part timer?
Raking it in for who? The clinic? Lol.

I am also curious.
So far the people posting monthly figures put it around 10-15k a month ie 180-200k a year?
But some will say can make 500k in public with better life is better than 700k in private.
LOL

If doing GP work primary care and "raking it in" for the clinic means seeing patient fast fast prescribe lots of high profit margin meds. So this type good for OPS?
If raking it in as locum ......actually no raking lah. Is sit there collect money every hour nia. Locum see 5 patient an hour is same locum rate as see 20 patient an hour.

Eh gps groups or ops facing lots of competition from asthestics. I seen even mmeders jump ship to asthestics.
Funnily I think my asthestics friends are more passionate Abt their work than actual fps (in ops) or gps.
Won't be surprised if asthestics become a big part of primary care in the future and get taught in medical school

Not sure about asthestics being taught in medical school. My residency faculty in general are very against asthestics, but can't deny that I have seen many of my colleagues jump ship to asthestics. (Not just FM btw, even IM/gs/Ortho, some of them even reach SR level already but still leave)
My FM preceptor actually openly admit that it's hard to convince people not to join asthestics if they really want to as it is hard for us to match their salary package.
