10 years ago no one want to do m.med and ops was hardiship posting. Pple come to get experience before go private. Now it's life style posting got 4 pple apply for 1 position, albeit a lot is applying as reserve.
it's the largest residency cohort, cant be everyone rise and not everyone want to rise. And of cse got cannot make it pple like me, tick all requirement to rise but exams cannot pass and decide to call it a day.

If they don't allow u to farm..then how? If only high flyer stay on, all ops will get getting are the lazy rp, fp manning the show downstairs.

To that guy that quote some salary...go ask Ur senior somemore la.
The salary not as simple as 8.6 plus 1.25. many things make up ur annual.

Also..u siibei jialat. Can u understand the word jump or not. It means a large increase. JUMP.
The largest jump u will see is resident turn m.med fp. After that got annual increament and rank increment only. There's only 3 rank after fp. Ac is gauranted unless u screw up. C u have to fight and pass fellowship. SC is when u are someone godson/daughter.
Each rank give u 800 to 1k more. Increament u can't be zai and year after year get exceptional one.
Meet is 3.x percent, exceed is 4.x, and exceptional is 5-6.x with some small variability peg to inflation.
If u high flyer u will average 5.x percent increment over course of a career while normal chaps 3.x to 4.x. farmer like me 3.x few years liao.
Hence u have no jump in salary after Ur m.med. if u work damn hard Ur salary rise slope can be steep but there is no more jump. U might get a bump when u up rank, but that is 12k annually only. Like 5 percent of your annual.
Get it ?

Why cannot 250k?
I got exceed and exceptional for a few years so early salary rise quite decently.
Infact I exceed 250k for a few years because I got a multipler to my service component. If u dunno what I'm talking about..then u not at that level to know...
Now is just meet so no extra

Sigh . Life is as such.

Good for you, hopefully I can get there is I pass my mmed next year.
I must say 250k/year is really good, certainly higher than what some of the ACs are getting in hospital. (Of course they have better progression) And let's not forget mmed as hard as it is, is after all only a registrar lvl qualification (i.e it judged equivalent to mrcp/mrcs etc).

Just doing some math....

8.6k plus 1.25 is the start.

1st year
8.6X12 = 103,200
8.6X1.25=10,750
Total = 113,950
Plus CPF contribution by employer = 17%X113950 = 19,37150
Grand total = 133,321.50

2nd year increase by 6%
9.12X12 = 109,440
9.12*1.25 = 11,400
Total = 120,840
CPF = 20,542.80
Grand total = 141382.80

3rd year increase by 6%
9.67*12 = 116,040
9.67*1.25 = 12,087.50
CPF = 21,781.68
Grand total = 149,909.18

4th year increase by 6%
10.25*12 = 123,000
10.25*1.25 =12,813
Total = 135,813
CPF = 23,088.21
Grand Total = 158901.21

5th year increase by 6%
10.865*12 = 130,380
10.865*1.25 = 13,581.25
Total = 143,961.25
CPF = 24,473.41
Grand Total = 168,434.66

6th year increase by 6%
11.52*12=138,240
11.52*1.25=14,400
total = 152,640
CPF = 25,948.80
Grand Total = 178,588.80

7th year increase by 6%
12.21*12=146,534.40
12.21*1.25=15,262.50
total = 161796.90
CPF = 27,505.47
Grand total = 189,302.37

8th year increase by 6%
12.94*12=155,311
12.94*1.25 = 16,175
total = 171,486
CPF = 29,152.62
Grand Total = 200,638.62

9th year increase by 6%
13.72*12=164,596.80
13.72*1.25=17,150
total = 181746.80
CPF = 30,896.96
Grand T = 212,643.75

10th year increase by 6%
14.54*12=174,518.40
14.54*1.25=18,175
Total = 192,693.40
CPF = 32757.88
Grand T = 225,451.27

11th year increase by 6%
15.41*12=184,948.80
15.41*1.25=19,262.50
Total = 204,211.3
CPF = 34,715.92
Grand T = 238,927.22

12th year increase by 6%
16.33*12=196,015.20
16.33*1.25=20,412.50
Total = 216,427.70
CPF = 36,792.71
Grand T = 253,220.40

So after 12 years at standard progression of salary will hit 250k a year after 12 years of passing MMed.

Maybe there are some other bonus perks I am unaware of. But it is definitely realistic. I do think that the 250-300k mark is probably the limit though.

like OP says 400k is for the CEO.

Take what you read online with a big pinch of salt ya?
250k a year will get some hospital consultant salivating already.

These days 250k isnt a lot.
If consultants and ACs arent making 250k a year that would suprise me
The 8.6k plus 1.25 works out to about 135k a year as a start

How much is it for hospital consultants?

i can confirm, this is 100% accurate and legit

by the time you are 50 years old, you will be earning 31k / monthly

5 years later, 41k / monthly

another 5 years later, 55k / monthly

100% legit, math checks out.
