I am a recent US MD graduate in Internal Medicine looking to work in Singapore for a few years. My medical school is recognized by the SMC.
Any tips on where/how to go about starting this process? Is there a streamlined process available to assist foreign MDs with this transition? TIA.

there is no streamlined process. but follow the following 4 steps
1) cold call - send your resume to major/minor public hospital HR in singapore
2) as a fresh attending, you job position will be an associate consultant
3) negotiate pay which is standard about 10-11k basic per month for an AC
4) go to smc website/sab website and start the application process.
singapore is good if u are a caucasian expat.

Thanks for your help. I've got a few other questions:
Besides the title and salary of the position, are there any difference in responsibilities between an associate consultant, a consultant, or senior consultant?
Are relocation expenses typically included as part of the compensation package?
Are most physicians in Singapore salaried, or are there also physicians on a percent collections model, whereby the physician pays a certain % for overhead, and keep the remaining %? I assume the latter model is more common in practice practice.
Can you briefly describe what practice is like under a conditional registration for inpatient and outpatient medicine? Do I have to review a certain % of my patients with the supervising physician at the end of each work day? Or will the supervising physician pick and review a certain % of my charts at random on their own time?
Many thanks.

Base pay is about 8k depending on your years of seniority.
FP allowance for GDFM is only 600. Not 1.5k.
1k plus FP allowance is for MMed.

Will jump on someone's question! I'm Singaporean but I will be studying in a German medical school as half my family is German. If the school is not on SMC's list, does this mean I can never practice in Singapore?
I am just curious as I see a lot of foreign doctors in Singapore, like from the Philippines, India or China. But maybe they studied in Singapore so I was just wondering...could someone finish a German degree then pursue further medical school in Singapore?

My junior grad from Heidelberg but it is an approved medical school.
I suggest u try German approved Uni. There are 3 of them.
1. Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, Medizinische Fakultät Heidelberg
2. Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munchen, Medizinische Fakultat
3. Charite-Universitatsmedizin Berlin
The above is r the safest path
If not u can make sure u become a specialist in Germany before moving over.
