Tier 1: those that go fcps? And sab accredited
Tier 2: those gdfm or mmed kind of basic fp?

If u ask me la.
Diploma in FM shouldn't even be allowed to use fp.
It's like u have diploma in dermatology and u call urself a dermatologist.
Same meh? U go suggest that see what the dermatologist say.

Anyway, they proposing this year for recognition of FM as a speciality. See moh got time to think about this while fighting covid or not.
I suspect maybe those with fcfp might be allowed to use family medicine specialist title while m.med , gdfm one family physician. There's only 155 fcfp in Singapore btw.

U must be a lousy gp or a non doc?

Before you go order million dollar workup, impt to rule out MSK pain like costochondritis first.

I know what you mean. Happened to me when working at A&E too. Guy comes in at 9pm say he didn't go to work in morning. Says he got chest pain.(Standard meaning if patient tell you chest tight, pain cannot breahte is worried whether "heart attack) Ok lah do the usual, hx, exam, CXR, ECG, blood work CKMB Trop T. Nurses tell me can't find patient for ECG and CXR. 1 hour later he comes back. When come into room very very strong smell of cigarette smoke. Fella had gone to smoke. I tell him hey don't smoke cigarette if you worried you having heart attack. He get angry say why cannot smoke? I tell him we been trying to find you to do the ECG and CXR where you go? Wife accuses me of insinuating husband is not being serious. Says maybe he got heart attack very serious you say these type of things. Anyway ok lah I set up appointment with cardiology give the MC (which I think he was basically there for). Later nurse comes back says patient canceled the cardiology appointment.

yup sinkie geng lords

are h/o all paid the same regardless of qualification and portfolio? i.e mbbs/md/etc.

Unregistered 30-09-2021 08:59 AM

It's something that I've been wondering too. How much do HOs earn? Based on multiple listings I've seen on Glassdoor, the starting pay is 4k SGD. Is this true regardless of qualification (MD vs MBBS). What about males who have done NS? Do they get a slightly higher pay? Asking as a curious medical student...
