Rubbish.
Absolutely rubbish.

We had to recruit overseas coz the public folks kept on leaving for pte
Then when we raise the pay in 2012, sinkie stop leaving.
Then our residency had oversupply coz sinkie didn't leave
We projected residencies based on expected attrition.

We also had a lot of foreigners RP and middle level staff as sinkie prefer to be a GP.

So to claim that foreigners deprieve u a job is wrong. You just need to work harder. Put in the hours.

Ah gong needs to deliver a service. And I'm going to deliver the service and serve the healthcare needs of sinkie, regardless how ungrateful some sinkie is.

How many doctors are in Singapore? Easily 16,000

Plus u forget the lawyers, bankers, CEOs , entrepreneurs

So typical doctor is hdb one. Million dollar hdb or 1.2million condo can afford when you are mid 30 to late 40

But bungalows is impossible, unless your start up flies.
There are 3000 good class bungalows, but way more regular bungalows/detached.

I don't think I will be able to afford regular bungalows even in my 50s, let alone GCB.

It sucks that I sacrificed all of my twenties, and even early thirties, saving and making an impact on countless lives in the process and yet I cant own a detached house even in my 50s.

This system is really broken. I am also very jaded from this entire process.

What you are experiencing is what the engineers (non financial/banking) went through in the early 2000s.

If u were a doc in the 2010 to 2015 graduating batch and got into residency straight after med school, u can hit ac as young as 29 for girls.

Thanks for the laugh. Whatever happened to living below your means?
The responses were also funny in their seriousness. Live a little. Bungalows are not important in life.

Even if I live way below my means, like staying in 3 bedroom HDB in Jurong x 20 years, I still cannot afford a bungalow in 20 years time as property prices will have gone up even more by then.
