That’s my fault. I had assumed the Calgary GP was a male but it could very well be a female too.

Polyclinic work not easy. It's either high numbers like 50 walk in a day with increasingly complex cases from the 1 month old baby to the 100 year old dying to dealing with idiots with hba1c in the double digits.

If what you say is true, why are FM paid much less compared to specialists?

I think so, if you compare public (i.e ops) vs public (restructured hosp) and private (gp) vs private (private specialist)

Depending on the error, if very serious error, may get struck off (eg the recent ho who committed research fraud)
But most of the time your posting grading and subsequently your performance bonus will be affected.
