Who cares what medical school you're from after you've graduated? Postgraduate experience is more impt. Coming from a "good" med school doesn't guarantee you're a good clinician.

That only means he did his F1 year and can pay the annual fee.
If he's the same guy boasting about his business class holiday, I can only say this. He's a small fish swimming in his own small pond. 🤡

You are silly to bash aesthetics. I make more than most non-procedural specialists at my age. Only surgeons can beat my earnings but the training is competitive and long to begin with.
And don’t make false assumptions. I chose NOT to be a specialist because I don’t find that it’s worth it. I could get into specialty training in sg/uk if I wanted to/bothered to.
Don’t be jealous of my business class travels.. I know some ex colleagues at TTSH still slogging out as registrar-they travel economy most of the time and don’t have a life outside of work

barts student here and i admit kcl is much better. kcl is 12th by Times Ranking for Medicine and 13th by QS whereas barts is 40+. kcl is only a few places from ucl but ultimately how u work matters more
id put kcl ucl icl and barts in the same category not sure about sgul....

U so realise that icl ucl are both 6 years degree whereas kcl barts or even sgul are 5 years.
I rather study a 5 year mbbs and save a year. And sgul is the best if u want to match to USA. They follow the usmle systems based curriculum and teaching approach

However, it is highly unlikely OPS will match the pay package you mentioned. Realistically it will be like 180k per annum as a Mmed FP. Need to farm until you turn AC before you can get that level of salary.
Don't worry about age discrimination, there's already difficulty retaining staff, you'll be welcomed with open arms if you decide to go to OPS. Just avoid the cluster with no shared queue or their "open legs" walk-in policy.

The solo queue and open leg cluster pays the best lei.
If U are fast solo queue not a bad thing.
I shared queue now have to tank slow teammates. I clear more patients in one morning than they do in a day. Dun help see they complain no teamwork. Give me solo queue anyday

Am I correct to say that to beat a salaried GP pay now, need to get fcfp? If not with just mmed, will need to farm 3 years till AC then can equal/match outside pay? (Then subsequently about the same with yearly 2-3% increment for inflation?)

Waste your time on FM because it’s a low yield trade. No way you can outearn surgeons or even psych docs
