Most matured post worthy of being a doctor I have seen here in this forum so far.
Really childish to be bashing each other.

Unfortunately that's the reality in medicine. People who get into medicine are highly competitive. Need that kind of mentality to even get into medical school.
You ask med students all over the world they will tell you their classmates are very competitive high achiever.
Not uncommon to find many will bash others to get to their goals.

Another example of aesthetics embellishing their capabilities.. sounds good on paper but iykyk. KCL is one of the lower tier London med schools, and the PG derm course is done purely online, I'll let you determine how strong that training will be. GMC registration? That only means he did his F1 year and can pay the annual fee.
If he's the same guy boasting about his business class holiday, I can only say this. He's a small fish swimming in his own small pond. 🤡

(Works out to be 245k including employer CPF. With 21 days AL, effectively working 48 weeks, which is around 121 SGD/HR)
- is that fair for salaried GP, (not locum or aesthetics or setting up own clinic) and how does it compare to new mmeder in polyclinic? I completed mmed though the programme b route and never worked in ops (other than mopex many years ago)
- was wondering if I will get a similar pay if I make the switch to ops (hours pretty much the same, except ops I heard has alt sat off nowadays).
- pull factor from ops would be the ability to do fcfp, which may be important especially if FM becomes recognised as a speciality. (Also to factor in, I am in my late 30s now, so not sure if ops has age discrimination and still accept old mmeders like me)

Is your annual package including AWS or bonuses? If not then it's quite competitive, otherwise it's about average for FP. AL amount is good though. Is this with Parkway Shenton?
OPS definitely cannot match the salary as you'll be entering as only a mmeder FP. The package you have now is about equivalent to AC FP i.e. usually after 3 years in OPS. However, if you can tank and farm a few years, do your QI and workgroups, and get your FCFPS, you turn C/SC and that's when the pay outgrows what private can offer.
OPS is facing a significant retention issue so no worries, they'll welcome you with open arms.

ok agree with the rest of what u said but disagree that kcl is one of the lower tier london med schools. It is literally ranked 13 globally and only behind oxbridge, ucl and icl. He is wasting his high quality education and the effort of his kcl profs, consultants

Getting abit off topic but I guess it depends on which ranking you use. ICL and UCL are definitely top tier. Bart's > KCL > SGUL. There's only 5 SMC recognized medical schools in London, hence why it's lower tier. If you think Bart's = KCL then it's mid at best.
