Don’t need gep intellect to study medicine.. this is not physics or maths or comp sci. It’s easy to study med. only problem is that you have to study hard be a hard worker.

Why do most local med students not consider the bond or difficulty of getting into specialty training in singapore when going to med school. I remember my classmates in JC used to be confused when i told them i wanted to study overseas, recrntly i meet them they all complaining and regretting. Did they not consider before?

Not everyone can afford the costs of an overseas education? Great if you have options, but some times the only option they have is to study locally. Empathy is an important trait for a doctor and it would do you well to learn it.

Ya, I had a place in UK's St Bartholomew too but fortunately I got into local Medicine. My dad was prepared to pay for me but it is too huge a sum and he was just a P6 Msian equivalent holder who worked in SIA as a senior Aircraft Technician. I chose local of course so as not to burden him.

BTW, to all you rich Drs here. Kindly donate to UNICEF if you can. Help the poor children in wartorn countries.
