That's good to know. I was quite surprised too as previously only S$100plus and last year none.

Based on performance right? Guaranteed?
I was from Singhealth before, don't remember guaranteed pay increment.

Definitely. Some clinics look for that cert to see factory workers.
My current supervisor has GDOM and he sees Medical Board cases. I think it means cases that need more thorough assessment to see if fit for which level of work.
I am going to be 50 years old this year. Been a GP for 20 plus years.
Pay was best when locuming but glad to be employee now for it's medical benefits.

GDOM is useful when seeing preemployment cases and also GP cases in determining MC, what sort of light duty.
But it is not compulsory but a good to have. I don't have it. Only have GDFM and going for GDMH.

In HDB, will have about S$7k/mth passive income.
Probably retiring or semiretiring in 3 year's time, after we can sell our FH terrace after 3 years SSD over, so no point starting own business...wanna relax soon already, starting business have to work very hard.

Choose to do what you r interested in.
As I am female and don't have stamina to do so many years of night duty required in specialising, I chose family medicine for better work life balance.
