Number of tech/law guys making millions very few, way lesser than doctors.
Tech you need to be COO level to make millions. Law you need to be EP in B4.. number so few until u can count with fingers
Medicine- many specialists in private taking in millions.
Even renal., yes don’t be surprised.. they got good private potential

singaporean final year at imperial here. Keen to return to sg and build my career. Any tips for HO? I saw a doctor comment on reddit and he seemed to quite biased against IMGs. Would i have good chances of getting into residency?

Same same la
Like army
There is rank pay and vocation pay and appointment pay
All AC 1st year same basic salary.
2nd year onwards slight difference depending on your increment and so on
Get C jump 10 percent
Get sc jump another 10 percent.
Every few years off cycle wage adjustment give U 5 to 10 percent
Then vocation pay add on monthly
Everyone cluster slight different. Eg general surgery at Nuh known to pay slightly better than nhg. Internal med at Sgh better than aim elsewhere
Generally more siong speciality higher.
Procedure more than non procedure.
There is productivity pay
Procedure U get a cut. Smaller cut if subsidized, large if private patient
U some rheumatology expert a lot of private patient U also get higher productivity bonus
Bonus.
If U in a profit centre, of cse bonus bigger. Eg radiology, surgery , rad Onco etc
Got appointment like hod, CMB etc all got extra pay
End of the day U if U are run of the mill non procedure, aim geri, rheuma, endo, FM
1st year AC about the same.
After that who knows?
Ur endocrine con remains a farmer but ur FM con might become head of a polyclinic then total renumeration different.
Ur half awake anesthesiologist who do pain can milk 400k as a AC already ( true story)
No magical million dollars for sure la.

I think this is the most accurate poster i’ve ever seen here. There are surgical and procedural con who have high private load can clear more than a mil by reality is they would make much more in private anyway. U work hard can make more but no free lunch

May I find out from GPs in private chains here how are yr pay increment and bonus like?
I just had a performance review and was given S$500 pay increment and S$15 k bonus. Is that considered poor, average or good? My review was good.
I brought in revenue of S$800 k + last year.

I am just a humble GP, don't make millions like some specialists do. But I am grateful that me and my hubby have made about S$2.6 mil from buying and selling properties so far. Only way we can retire in expensive Sg. Don't save much from salary in fact now often deficit. But combined networth has grown to about S$5mil in our early 50s.
So for those normal GPs who don't make millions a year. Invest in Sg property to grow your networth, esp landed property if u can.
We just bought one freehold terrace, getting keys next mth at S$1700 + psf and according to caveats lodged, one month after us, someone bought in our same neighbourhood, a smaller landed, at S$2500+ psf! So we huat already.

Much of it is from health screening packages that companies have for their employees. Don't think so easy if I do on my own.
