That is an option.
however 2-3 years isnt much in a broad timeline. If you want to be Singapore based and in a speciality of your choice.

Hard life GP but that’s the price u paid for not specialising.

Not sure if being GP is really that bad. I mean I work 830-530, doing health screening in a CBD clinic. Sat half day. Most of my patients are well, as they are here for screening. I get paid ard 220-230k /year, depending on variable bonus.
Job is pretty straightforward as PTS are not sick. Most abnormalities I am obliged to refer, as my clinic is a pure health screening clinic, and does not have any meds, so I am not too stressed about managing anything.
Many of my PTS are working in the corporate world, from my conversation with them, most would bite their hand off for a 220k/year job with regular working hours and a relatively mundane and easy work life

Seems your pay package matches the description of an anchor doc at Healthway/downtown screening clinic.. well it’s good if you compare to the average corporate world (I mean average.. because there’s tech bros making easily more than that/legal counsels making more than that)
Unfortunately you will never outearn a specialist in private.. a surgeon can make your yearly wage easily in a month… even psychiatrists can make than double of what you make in a day, while seeing less than half of the patients you see

GP wage is stagnant.. even at a top chain theres no way to increase your wage unless you work more hours.. so the pay scale is standard from 180k-260k/year
THATs WHY DONT BE A GP.. U think setting up a clinic is easy??? Many old timer GPs already captured the market.. as a young guy your clinic will close down for sure
Patients don’t look at your qualifications they go to doctor that they trust. U see those old timer GP with MBBS only out earning those fresh faces FP docs with a MMED..
GP market is tough. You won’t be poor but don’t expect your salary to SCALE like a specialist.
That’s the truth.

Actually people are missing the point. I am saying that one can make 220k+/- per year as a GP with very little stress and I would dare say practically no worries of retrenchment.
There are people who can make more, but I would say for the life and relatively easy work, it would be above average in sg already. I.e don't make it sound like one would be in poverty/have issues with retirement planning if he chooses the GP route. (Maybe house smaller and eat less than specialist but won't starve la)

They are given titles of associate consultants and eventually consultants after completing the relevant qualifications (i.e fcfp for FM, exit exams for the IM Sr etc). Was wondering if they are remunerated similarly as I presume they are essentially doing the same job in the same CH as a senior doctor.
And similarly if fp consultants in ops are paid the same (again after they complete fcfp and the relevant requirements to become consultant)

Lol radiologists are on a different pay scale altogether
Please do not group them with IM trained specialists
