i can vouch that this is true. a few malaysians i know of failed to get a consultant job in singapore after CCT, even after a few years of experience working as a consultant in the UK. the path has closed for few years now. there are of course, exceptions, like you have said.
No problem for foreigners to get a job as a HO or MO (provided they fulfil SMC criteria, etc)
hearsay SGP do not need to work three years as a consultant to get a consultant job.

What do you mean '4 year accredited undergrad programs'? Medicine in canada is post-grad, so its 3-4 years undergrad + 4 years Medical school. That's 7-8 years to get primary medical degree. Also, getting into medical school in Canada is much harder than in the USA (which is already hard). International students have an even slimmer chance...

You are missing a brain obviously.
Shortest MD program is 3 years at McGill and mcmaster in Canada.
U still need a undergrad.
There were some uni in USA that have 6 years combined programs
2 +4. Some programs allow U to have early placement in FM residency and skip the 4th year altogether

McGill is still 4 years.
McMaster is 3 years.
U of Calgary also 3 years.
FM residency in Canada still only 2 years.

Need to work 3 years for full consultant post as singaporean but for AC don’t need. CCT will do.

It is even much more competitive to get it. Plus need to be comfortable in both English and French. Tough.
