Exactly. I think resident and registrar can move to in between because their future is somewhat secured just need to do saikang for a bit more. But the whole point is to avoid the lower phase. It’s just the sg wya of things. Even junior lawyers bankers treated terribly. So many quit because of this toxic mindset and environment. whole pooint is to train and then come

the lower levels in medicine are pretty **** everywhere unless there is some utopia I'm unaware of.
The idea is to climb as soon as possible.

Pick somewhere that’s not competitive. You don’t want to be a hospital with elitist overachieving colleagues who are out to get ahead of you.
I will recommend picking northern or peninsula trust for your FY1. The cost of living is way lower than London so you get to save more. Generally friendly consultants. Supportive work environment.

Do people feel that longevity medicine will be the next hyped up thing in GP land (like aesthetics was 10-15 years back?)
When I mean longevity medicine, I don't just mean normal health screening, they screen for specialized tests like genetic screening for early detection of cancer (like Lucerne cancer screening), biomarkers for ageing/dementia, involves nutritionist, health coach all in 1 consult.

In the UK, people would not think that you are better if you were trained in London or cambridge. Never heard from such thing.
