i’m the guy who’s feeling guilt for making his parents pay 550k for med school instead of 250k locally. My parents have showed me that the extra 300k won’t affect their retirement too much and it is okay. I’ve decided to do them proud and do my best. I’ll make good on their willingness to let me have more options to specialise and to have the freedom of not having a bond

300k is nothing. Every singaporean guy/girl is given a free lottery chance by government : BTO flat.
Just buy a BTO and hold for MOP and resell easy 300k-600k profit. Everyone can do this.

parents HHI is in the 500-600k range so i know the amount is not huge but still it’s not my money to decide that’s why i feel bad

Then don’t study medicine if u think it’s too expensive. Study something else cheaper

Want to be a doctor cant study something else. I think law will be heavily hit by AI. Finance too risky. Work hard become a specialist doctor and enjoy treating people well

Specialist doctor is not only about working hard. Must have strong people skill.

Was wondering if there are any drs working in sgh ed can share their thoughts on the swift Teleconsult system. (Thought it was an interesting collaboration between GP group (minmed) and phi hospital)
