What are your qualifications? We are oversaturated with doctors already. As you know even as a local there is no preference for you over a foreign doctor.

Currently mopex in gs. Feeling really tired and burnt out. However was wondering if it worth approaching for help? I am not sure what can be done given that most of us can't afford to take no pay leave anyway (due to financial reason, student loan etc)

If you do ask for help it will not be viewed favorably when it comes to your future career. Try your best to cope without them knowing.

what sort of help are you looking for? counselling? can you do it privately and in silence?

i guess certain specialties in sg would always need more consultants? maybe geriatrics?

MD, Plastic surgery. I will be challenging my American Boards in 2022. Is it over-saturated in SG?

Too many doctors.
Too few positions.

My friend is a lawyer dating a doctor doing his residency now. They meet once a week because he’s too busy with work / doing calls / studying exams / dunno what. Everytime they have an issue, he seems to like to play the “I’m very busy with work” card. Her life basically revolves around his schedule / off days after calls. If you don’t mind this kind of life trajectory then ok lor.
