AD and all that crap
Been in the service for my first job, left 3 years later.
AD means nothing in my board, most of them have no stuff reporting to them, in the private world they are nothing but senior executives...as in senior accountant, senior sales executive etc.
For the amount of work, these people are grossly overpaid. Where in the world can you go for 2 full weeks of training, without your boss/peers calling you in the middle of classes at all and knowing that you work is being taken care of while you are at training?

Thanks in anticipation!

This is not bad already.
Some stat boards are begining to downgrade AD even further to entry level Executive by calling all fresh grads who join with a degree AD.

Hi. Care to share where did you end up after quitting? I heard it is not easy for someone who has worked for MAS to transit to banks.

For polys as an illustration, the following progression generally applies: Lecturer -> Senior Lecturer -> Section Head -> Manager/Course Manager/Senior Manager -> AD -> DD -> D

you are wrong
Lecturer > Senior Lecturer> Manager> Senior Manager/Deputy Director> Director
In some polytechnic, they have created additional position> Senior Director

You are wrong too. It depends from poly to poly. In my poly senior director is not equivalent to DD!

Hi,
I am a WSH (work safety health) manager in my 40s and in a Pte company currently and am a poly grad. I saw a job offer with NEA for the position of AD in my fields of expetise. I have about 7-8 yrs of experience in the field of WSH
As such I wan to ask what will the salary most likely like and what are the chances of me able to get in without a degree....
