Considering being a paralegal at a international law firm in Singapore.
I have been told that I should qualify as a lawyer first instead of 'wasting' my degree to be a paralegal. Could I have some insights on this? Thank you!

Hi,
Some personal background, graduated from (still) scheduled, non-London, UK university with a second upper. Not particularly great results for core modules. I am currently doing my RLT in a small-medium firm, mainly doing criminal work under a former DPP.
I am wondering if anyone here was in a similar situation and if they could share their experiences, and what would a realistic career path be.
I am also wondering about the legal services, specifically whether my qualifications would suffice to be a DPP in AGC or would i likely be an APP?

Wouldn't it make more sense to ask your boss directly since he is a former DPP? Anyway I don't think your profile got chance to enter LSC base on the current officer I see there.

He left legal services a while ago. His advice was to give it a shot, but reading between the lines, he seemed to be conveying that my chances are slim.
Is there discretion, or do they only accept scholars? Would applying for an internship improve my chances?
