Work on your grammar before critiquing young boy.
All forums in Singapore are pretty much boarder line grammar pass. I was saying of those who go beyond that and use unnecessary parenthesis. Lol.

Anyway all my IB friends are having nightmares recently about getting retrenched.... a few had their dreams came true already
You might have some info here. Can you describe recently, retrenched and what positions? Specifically, are IB cleaning out their traders since the start of the year?

Not just traders but also bankers.

This is because the Asia markets aren't doing well and the cost of compliance has risen dramatically.

Hearsay statements: please accord weight by your own judgment. My friends inform me many banks most the foreign one taking measure to reduce headcount especially from the front office ( meaning the IB ,traders and bankers). The banks are not into massive retrenchment that attract media reports but allowing staff to either retire early, voluntarily quit, those on contract to lapse and reduce new recruits.

This being a forum on legal profession, you can related this to the many law firms doing wall street work in Singapore. Understandably while they won't retrench, many are slashing bonuses, reducing new associate pay and simply retain less trainees. ( in line with the many sentiments reflect by some posters in this forum who appears to be insiders of the legal industry)

Seems like you need to brush up on your spelling too.

You can't be of any of the professions listed on the thread, be it a doctor/ lawyer or banker. So the question remains, what are you doing here?

Are lawyers' salaries comparable to doctors?

Waiting for you to answer my question actually, again, which is to enlighten me on how my brief advice on getting into BX is wrong. I'm tired of reproducing it, as I already did but you probably missed it, so I'll leave it to you to scroll up and find.

You deflect way too much for someone who is not a lawyer or even in any profession. Hahaha enjoy dreaming of Blackstone. Maybe in your next life.

BTW, to answer your question -- ever heard of onus probandi, shifting the burden of proof? Go ahead, google it. I'll wait.

Lawyers in SG are of really low calibre..
I have engaged some of these jokers and trust me they just suck the life out of you.
Thank god there is a huge supply of them to make them more competitive skills & fees wise.

Some people have the art of stating a claim and defending it, using simple arguments and not hiding behind esoteric terms only under which he feels most confident, so that all are enlightened. It seems you are not such a person.
