Someone remove this common peasant. Who even applies for BTOs in the legal industry?

Didn't anyone tell you this is an elitist profession for the privileged?

You kidding me? Even elites buy BTO as a viable source of secondary income.

Heard of rental income or even flipping after MOP? It was extensively debated in Parliament recently.

Tell me you are ignorant without telling me you are ignorant

Irony. You are supposed to detect the irony in the previous post.

Default Deferred start date in new job

Hi all, I’m a 2 PQE assoc thinking of quitting my job. I’m undercut underpaid and feel I’ve nothing left in the tank with the firm I’m at.

Things have reached its lowest and while largely peaceful, my stint has been crappy of late. Im in a 10+ lawyer practice.

Im thinking of job hunting in a months time. However, I intend to take a short break after quitting, a couple of weeks on holiday, before resuming work.

Should I mention this in my application?

A real elite power couple would be earning above the income ceiling to qualify for BTO. Only peasants are earning less than 14k pm in combined income. The starting pay in international firms already exceeds that.

While it is true for most cases, I had elite friends who graduated from university and applied for BTO immediately after, around the time when they were doing their PTC/Part B. After getting the keys, they flip or rent out whilst staying with their parents in their huge landed homes.

You can’t rent out or flip until the MOP is over…
