Has anyone given a very angry departure letter to the outgoing employer

Document your instances of abuse, collect evidence etc. Then write to LawSoc MACH. This is so that if your firm tries to bad mouth you to others after you leave, you have a record.

What can the partner do anyway? You're serving out notice. At most pull a few sick leaves. It will pass soon.

I verily believe that people who perpetuates toxic culture in the legal profession have no standing to talk about whether it is wimpy to demand for work-life balance.

It is utterly disgusting to see how certain lawyers like to make it seem like it is a YOU-problem (YOUR mental health sucks, YOU need to seek help, YOU need to work with purpose) while glossing over all the toxic and abusive behaviour being perpetuated by them and under their watch. Please la, 人在做天在看.

As usual on LinkedIn, circle jerkers will circle jerk on their own humble bragging posts.

But the rest are too polite or pretending to be polite to disagree.

You go and refute the person's points lor. If not, why bother with one person opinion? Sentiments like the person's are merely a symptom of the profession's toxicity, not the cause.

No offence but.. if you tendered, why are you still so afraid of your partner.. grow some balls. They need you more than you need them. If you f up any work, they are the ones who need to clean it up. When you tender, they need to keep you happy.

I'm a bit late here, but just saw a couple of posts on Facebook/Linkedin defending SUSS grads against some "recent social media post" which I assume spoke disparagingly of SUSS law grads.

Anyone able to paste the said post here please? I'm not from SUSS, just curious about what was said and who said it. Thanks.
