OP here to clarify. #SnailLivesMatter was a pun on someone who suggested abolishing the WC with the hashtag #MaleLivesMatter.

Male lives don't matter. We are snails with no intrinsic value. A poor man is intrinsically worthless in society. On the other hand, the same standards don't apply to women.

I digress, nothing to do with the WC or those schools you memed, but more an observation of societal constructs.

I am a NQ and approved by a recruiter for this role.

But i see the post has been vacant for 2 years plus.
I wanted to try for that role also but I had numerous (yes, numerous) people advising me against it. They say it's not the most pleasant place to be at and that explains why they have been unable to fill that position

How much are they offering, if it sucks to work at, but it pays alot then that's still acceptable. If they pay peanuts and expect dragons that's a diff matter.

The states pay range is 3.5 to 5k. Anyone knows whether it’s more likely to be near the lower or upper range?

Permanent remote working is possible and rewarding. Really, it's awesome not to have to waste time (and money) taking the train daily.

The amount of work doesn't really change. Location doesn't really make a huge difference.
If your boss trusts you and you are working well from home with minimal supervision, chances are that both of you will work well together in the office anyway - it's not because of remote working. If your boss doesn't trust you and has to constantly micromanage you when you WFH, chances are that it's the same thing in the office also.

I agree fully, but the economy also needs to recover
