We need more diversity in the workplace. I am fully behind the various "bring your whole self to work" schemes that many international firms adhere to. Our local firms could learn a thing or two from such schemes. It is 2020. We should not have to pretend that we are acting out Mad Men in real life.

I know this phrase gets used a lot ironically these days. But I am completely serious when I say that your feelings mean nothing when you are so overprivileged. The need for more diverse representation in the workplace cannot be underestimated. I hope your firm continues to remain committed to diversity and greater representation of minorities across the spectrum.

Our local firms have a long way to go. But I believe we are slowly and steadily making progress in this regard.

I'm disappointed to read the other responses above. With the greatest possible respect, I urge each one of the preceding posters to do better. You appear to have no idea about the privilege each of you wield so carelessly.
This is precisely why we should expand FTAs like CECA to lawyers as well, to inject diversity into the legal industry. CECA lawyers would then generate more jobs for their Singaporean lawyers counterparts.

Who's with me? Kee chiu!

When you go to international law firms this is wat u get. You want to get paid better but you should accept the other ****.

What do u expect. Of cos they will try to hire all these sorts and super wayang foreigners. I bet your HR is not local either and therefore will not appreciate where u r coming from and may in fact feel that theres something wrong w u. If your boss is local my diagnosis is that he or she has ptsd. His or her previous boss must have been some angmoh n being colonialised is ingrained in him or her.

My suggestion is quit.
Why you so xenophobic. FTs help to create jobs for Singaporeans, otherwise you wouldn't even be a partner you insignificant ****.

I am the real OP. Stop pretending to be me.

Recruiters just wanna place u. Why u flame them.

If u are unplaceable then just look in the mirror and change for the better.

Don't blame others for what u can't achieve.
