Not always for international. Some firms’ increments like those based on UK model increases happen mid year.

I don't have direct experience but isn't BMWL actually started by Baker itself? i.e. organic expansion. Whereas I think Dentons expands through mergers? Also correct me if I'm wrong but I've a feeling Baker probably has the more glam clients.
