A&G banking isn't as great as ppl here seem to think. Won't say that SLB is far off. Ask anyone in the industry and they will know

Depends how you look at it whether on size, pay scale or prestige. Anws heres how I would rank them
Big: big4, dentons, international (baker, cc)
top-mid: slb, tsmp, lvm, wmh, lee&lee flas (wkw, ascendant)
ordinary mid: tkqp, qwh, harry elias
small: chinatown firms, most of the specialist crim/fam firms, hoh law corp (if you're not looking purely at number of lawyers but prestige)

A&G will work you like a dog, 3-4 AM finishes are common. BUT the fact that most of their associates go to intl firms like W&C and Links after a couple of years speaks for itself - haven't heard of a single SLB banking going to an intl firm. If you're willing to put in the hours then jump ship, go for A&G.
