Nadia is a snob. Plain and simple arrogance and thinks she is god-sent. Personally won't be surprised by all the accusation that has been held against her, ie. money grubber, balls-carrier, wealth worshipper etc. All the ******** speech about caring for the environment

Simple. Rise till 2PQE and wait till you have junior. Carry the right balls, throw ur work to ur new trainee and assocs and rise.

I have asked this last night and want to confirm this with you guys again. Is it true that there’s a dressing inspection every morning at that said firm? I would seriously rethink my offer because I won’t be comfortable at a workplace where my dressing is so heavily scrutinised on a daily basis....

I know several firms that have implemented smart casual and I believe that’s the way to go. I know this policy isn’t something to be placed as an important consideration when accepting offers but I think it says a lot about the culture of the firm.

From experience, there's no formal dressing inspection in place. That said, do expect email prompts now and then if they find your dressing to be lacking in any way. FYI, there's also no smart casual policy there.

now got covid ur friends all unemployed u sibeh heng to get job

and u are hung up on firm dressing code when we all basically wfh

idk what they saw in u but u stole that job from someone more deserving of it

When I was there (this was 5 years ago), there wasn’t a formal inspection per se, but guys were all expected to wear ties every single day, whether we had court hearings or not (I was in liti). You’re not wrong, it really is a firm that judges you on how you dress
