Thank you for sharing.
We are glad that you are happy with the choice you've made.
I think most of us understand that the world is bigger than law. Many of us stay not because we don't have options (as you've rightly pointed out, many of us do) but because we believe in what we do (just as you believe in what you do).
And i am speaking to those people - do not give up on law because of a few set backs (or because you get to earn a lot of instant money). Keep trying. Things will get better.

If you go UK, unless it is Oxford or Cambridge or LSE or UCL, wouldn't be worth it.

Yes. So many trolls trying to instigate local vs foreign grad arguments.
Nobody cares after a few years of practice. REALLY, nobody cares.

Agreed. After a few years in practice it’s just all about surviving the hours and sh*t.

tbh don't even need to think. my workplace is not even unpleasant or intolerable or difficult. It is plain abusive and toxic.

I could give very specific examples but if any of my colleagues are lurking on this forum they will know who I am referring to.
while i can accept being scolded harshly by a boss, the language and words my soon-to-be ex boss used is totally unacceptable. and everyone in the office can hear it so clearly, which is so humiliating.
no amount of money can make me stay, and honestly while the salary isn't bad, it isn't great either.

OP there. This isn't my first job and I have also been working for a significant amount of time. I have worked in places that I considered unpleasant and difficult and have seen bosses that are not easy to work with. But I can attribute it to working differences and my own mistakes.
But this really takes the cake.
