I think generally, local big4 are viewed favourably by international firms looking to lateral hire.

Agreed. While many local practitioners put the intl firms on a pedestal and have them as an end goal (especially big 4 lawyers in their early years), they should also realise the downsides of that route, a central one being that partnership becomes nigh impossible. Their hours are also very harsh, imo much worse than local big 4 in all but the most demanding departments. Further, they have you travelling virtually all the time which might sound appealing at the start, but it's extremely tiring and also takes you away from your family. All things to consider for everyone here. By all means excel, but please choose carefully!

Depends on the practice. RT CMMA team is quite attractive to lateral recruiters even though these practices are band 2.

With that kind of pay compared to other big firms, no wonder R&T takes in less competitive applicants. Lol, anyone has the pay for TSMP. Are they still paying 7.5 for NQ

Is drew 2PQE 6,400 rather than 6,800?
What about employee benefits? What do the firms offer? Are there any firms among the big 4 which pays for mobile phones etc?

Not really accurate. True that you'll never make partner in intl firm but same goes for local Big 4 these days. At most they'll tease you with salaried partnership but you're pretty much locked out of equity unless you are somebody's somebody. A&G even makes 6PQE "Counsel" now, whatever that means.
Hours can often be better at intl firms but this really varies between firms and teams. Either way the pay bump is very significant.
