it is normal to seek help from imh
you can leave the profession
the firm will just hire someone new younger and cheaper
that is why there is hollowing of mid career these days

If you are 2 years 2 months into your career, you can easily move inhouse with little or no appreciable difference in salary (provided it is an MNC). The only thing you are losing out on is perhaps the increment. But at this point it is rly just the difference between driving a toyota or a bmw at a later stage in your life. Do you really care abt that enough to suffer another xx more months/years? I know I don't.

I quit on my 2nd year call anniversary (literally on the dot 2 years, haha) and moved in house. Got the job through indeed.sg. No connections and not from a big four firm.... and I got more than 1 offer.
Just got to keep at it. Lots of opportunities out there!
