Agree. Doctors and healthcare environment is much more compassionate. Can't say the same for legal fields. People laugh at you for making mistakes or simply expressing differing views. (The comment above me is one example)

Law has an up-or-out culture, while medicine doesn't. In a big law firm, you have maybe 50 ambitious young lawyers per cohort and only 5 of them would eventually become partner, it's no wonder the legal field has such a toxic environment.

I guess I’m not the only trainee suffering.
I am also wondering why are people so nasty. Why can’t they be more caring and strive to make the workplace a more harmonious place?

Very true. I'm not only facing issues within my own dept but ppl from other dept is also trying to put others done. They compete and any elimination of competition is good for them

Medicine gives the gift of life. Hippocratic oath.

Law - if you're in liti, it's to put others down. If not you lose. Corp - to get the most business otherwise you eat grass. How like that?

Medical community they helping each other. Legal community ppl can't wait to make someone fall - negligence suit etc

Same here. ppl laughs at me for making mistakes yet get confrontational when I speak up with differing views. Even I get a simple
piece of work done I will get picked on for technical matters like page numbers , spacing and ****. I get yelled at also.

What a hostile place I can’t wait to leave.
