European MNC - 8.2k, 13 months, discretionary bonus US MNC - 8.5k, 13months, discretionary bonus This was wayyyyyy before covid, mind you. Both were also regional roles overseeing multiple jurisdictions in APAC. |

If you are worried about the siong-ness, you should ask the recruiter/interviewer what is expected and in what percentage. For instance, when i was with the european MNC, even though there was a "legal head" and "compliance head" in HQ, i was a "shared function" - 75% legal 25% compliance. Most mncs have well defined job scopes due to costing purposes (which team/function do i charge your cost to?). I would say that my workload was reasonable, and if not for a poor manager i could probably have gone home before 6.30 most days. |

Thanks helpful person! Any significant non cash comp? Seems like quite a pay cut if one were to move even from Big4, much less UK/ US firms. |

Hmm. Good work-life balance. A LOT of travel (again, before covid). Managed to visit more than 10 countries within a period of less than 2 years. Having power over choice of law firms. LOVED the power trip. What else are you looking at? |

But clients can bully lawyers. If I go telco shop or clinics they have a sign there to say treat their staff respectfully got queue number etc. Why cant there be guidelines to stop clients from having power trips over lawyers because they cmi in practice and need to take revenge? |
