Oh. I never knew PQEs were counted based generally on the year of your call. I thought it was based on the month instead. Thanks for clarifying!
And, no. Unfortunately, 7 k is frontloaded haha.

But then again, working backwards, in 2019 I would be a 1 PQE assoc, and in Dec 2018 I was an NQ assoc? So if I had been with my present firm from when I was called, I would have gotten a pay increase in Jan 2019, assuming that was when a pay revision would be made?
That seems to be a very short period of being a NQ. Correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks!

Technically PQE counts from call date, but since pay increases are in Jan people have been using it fluidly, ie year in which you will be 1pqe

Their office seems pretty decent though. Went there for an interview once. But I think hours are terrible and I heard that the boss doesnt seem to be very nice to his assocs

The quality of big firms have deteriorated so badly. Nus FCH have been stuck in the limbo in subpar firms when UK/ SMU kids have been infiltrating the industry.
Please, we should write a petition about this to only let the creme of the crop compete with each other without letting unwanted or subpar competitors affect our place.
