There were just some other issues(colleagues issues) that irk me and I resign in a heat of moment. While I may not be the brightest I dare say that I possess at least some work ethic such I do not leave **** behind, I do regret resigning when I was rash and unhappy and caused inconvenience (when my colleagues do not have the capability to carry heavy workload as before that I already have to pick up said colleagues slack) to him with my departure.

However I am relieved to hear from your experience that someone will pick up on the slack. I sincerely harbour my former boss no ill will and wish that my replacement will be much better than me. He is a nice person such that while we ended on not so pleasant terms, I still wish that his work will run smoothly.
Did you resign without a job? I guess colleague problems are very common.

I resigned without a job. I thought I will rest for a few months though (just plain laziness). Recently started looking and managed to get one with significant pay increase (extra 500).

My resignation was never about money. I took pride in my work. Although it was not particularly interesting, I had satisfaction in completing it well. My boss is a decent person but my coworker's work quality and work attitude were abysmal. I can tolerate a temperamental genious and a jovial idiot but I will not work alongside a useless ****tard. My boss gave up eventually on my colleague, just left that colleague to own devices even though he knows that stinky work attitude is going to affect me. I forsee sooner or later, something is going to blow up so I resign.

I wish my boss well and sometimes worry that my colleague will screw up his work. However like what you said, we are just cogs in a machine. I do hope that my replacement has more empathy than I had for my former colleague and can pick up the slack. As for my colleague, judging from her track record and overall personality, I know it will be a miracle for someone like that to succeed anywhere. That will be my consolation. I just hope it is not at the expense of my former boss or my replacement.

Chill dude you are commenting on this thread aren't you? Rather than batching about why people earn that much, why don't you ask yourself why people earn that much? 10kpm is reasonable if you work long hours and have to bring the stress of work home. Your work doesn't end once you leave the office, your brain is constantly on overdrive.

It is inevitable

Worked at a law firm. I resigned because of my colleagues. not because of my boss. Problem is, when I resigned, my colleagues mistakenly believe and started the rumour I resigned because of my boss.

That is very encouraging to hear. Thank you!
