Agreed. Retention for the so-called MBFC big firm is not announced. It will also
not be 0%.

Can’t speak for local firms.
Only international. Just rmb that international firm depends on global business for survival.
Meaning they are pretty much shielded if one country is dead for example.
But not when the entire global economy is experiencing a pandemic.
There is no longer any buffer
The high salary that you earn in international is because of this global firepower - charge out in US dollar rather than local currency.
If the global pandemic is prolonged, then naturally the international firms will bear the brunt.

Anyway the first time I was retained by a certain $7,500 firm in MBFC I felt a great sense of exuberance. But this was short-lived for many reasons.
The person who was not retained actually went on to a certain firm paying $14,000.
So such is life.

yeah, but white shoe firms (sg office) are offering even higher than mc firms (20+k base for 1+ year PQE).
