My group of friends from Bristol recently all got into Big 4. I also have friends from Oxford who didn't get MC or Big 4 even with 2:1. If you look at the AG, Chief Justice, Solicitor General, Supreme Court judges etc. they're mostly NUS. I also have a good friend from NUS who started off in Big 4 then went to MC and eventually decided on being an in house counsel for work life balance. So people shouldn't be too hung up about where they go for law school. It does play a role but basically they also want to look at your grades and how well you interviewed. Even if you were Oxbridge but didn't get at least a 2:1, I think it would be very difficult to get into the more competitive firms.

Market rate is $1.5-2K, should I demand more or qualify first then bail from the firm?

Cheap labour.
No wonder the posters above are so cringe and insulting.
Inferiority complex.

It's very high. I got $500 for RLT and $1000 for TC in 2016/2017 respectively. Height of the glut - even getting a spot was difficult then. It must be really easy to get a spot and to pass Part A and B nowadays.

If someone goes to a degree mill in the UK/Oz and comes back with an easy first class degree, does that person have self respect? Technically these are PAID degrees not EARNED degrees.
