Part A company law isn't the issue really.
its UK / Aussie law school standards are by and large too lax. really. this isn't about the aptitude or intelligence of overseas vs local students
this is really about conditioning. local law school is intense
if all the while you've only been pushing yourself to run 2.4 km in 14 minutes, obviously you aren't gonna clock sub 9 minutes during IPPT.

But I heard that the pay in such firms are generally better than many other “purely local” firms. May not be as much as MC/SC/US but it’s not too bad?

Legal service (incld JLC): 4.8/4.4k (with NS, 1st/2.1); 4k/3.8k (wo NS, 1st/2.1) - seems low but this is payable from part b/RLT onwards and there is a further increment after 1 year or so

Is this still accurate? Also, does anyone know what the bonus structure is like in law firms? I’m assuming that the numbers above are pre-bonus, so after front loading a 4.5k monthly salary may become 5.6k?

What’s the average allowance for TC now?
Heard anywhere between 1.5-2.5 (is 2.5 real?)

Should still be about $2k. I haven't heard of anyone getting $2.5k, but maybe some firms do it.

These numbers are after the front load. So if the firm declares 3 months bonus, you will get perhaps 0.5 months thereabout.

So this means that the actual pay without bonus is only 3.6k? That’s pathetic!
