Hey, I don’t think he/she suggested to be paid the same for doing less work. That said, I’d say this is—unfortunately—a rite of passage that most, if not all, trainees have to go through.
You’re only on your 10th day, and I assure you things will get better. With time, you’ll learn how to pick up the pace, prioritise what’s urgent, and de-prioritise what can wait. Through practice, you’ll also refine your output to become more efficient. All these will serve you well when you eventually guide your own trainees, you'd know what to expect of them and provide guidance, helping them avoid unnecessary detours.
IMO, it’s a bit premature to definitively say whether this is or isn’t sustainable. For now, try to check in with yourself periodically, say at the 4-week, 6-week, and 12-week marks, to assess your progress and how you’re feeling.

Should probably clarify that what the trainee meant was they were on their 10th day of the allnighter (ending 3.30-5am), not that they were on their 10th day of training. He/she would probably be in their 6th mark now.
That's probably why they were asking if it's sustainable. Imagine sleeping for 2 hours every night for 10 days, with completely no sleep on some days in between.

I am a trainee in a big 4/int'l firm. My hours are bad, and work is intense. But my seniors are probably 2 hrs worse than me (and about 2x faster in work product, and 3x faster in processing speed)
Clients are super intelligent, non-bs, and demanding. Send you email, then ask you to hop on a call to discuss their 40 comments after 10 mins to go through.
Is this really sustainable??

Nope, they suck all the life out of trainees and assocs, which is why 7/10 at B4 don't make it past year 3. It's a vicious cycle, if you survive and your boss likes you, you might then get to exploit others by being promoted to Partner or Senior Partner (and go on about life being hard for you last time as well). You either die young or live long enough to not want to change the system.

Is a TC at Donaldson & Burkinshaw good (both pay and learning wise)? Can lateral move after or not really?

Dying firm - rep is below avg and pay is low. Lateral move depends on whether you can sell your experience at what is essentially a small mid-size as a plus.
