It's a little early to get headhunted be recruiters, as international firms are generally looking for associate with a big of experience. That said, try to set up a good linkedin profile and indicate that you're opening to moving. This might help get recruiters interested in your profile. Otherwise, you can also cold call some recruiters (especially the high profile ones).

If your CV is good, the next step is the interview. This is tricky.

To prepare for the interview, try to get as much deal experience as you can. Work on the substantive parts of the deal. Make sure that you can articulate your role and responsibilities, and the work you did on the matters that you worked on.

Also have a good idea of what your strengths and weaknesses are, and be able to articulate them in a PC manner. This is important for the interview also. No international firm wants an associate who isn't sure if himself / herself.

What sort of salary should a 4 PQE lawyer in a big 4 law firm be pulling in monthly? Curious as to the current state of the market.

If nobody giving feedback means he either not famous enough or he's just a normal law boss (nothing bad to say). Don't overthink it.. if someone had something bad to say, they would have said it by now.
