Only firm to clawback the 1.5k x 6 months = 9k, if you do not accept their offer of retention.
Even if you are looking to get retained, they will only offer you 5k "if" they retain you, which means you may get 3.5k for 11 months and 5k for the final month, or 12 months of 3.5k if they dont offer you retention at all but drag it longer as they need "further assessment". Other firms straight give you 3.5k +5k for the entire year even if you don't get retained.
If you then decide to leave wp, you must stay with them for minimum of 12 months before they return you your part B fees. All other big 4s only require 6 months.
So overall you lose 9k + 7k or so (part B fees) = 16k lost if you decide to leave the firm for whatever reason (not a right fit, bad bosses, etc), within 2.5 years. Other firms -7k, if you quit within 2 years.
Also note that WP is the only firm to give out their updated training contracts on 6 jan 2025, way after other firms started their contracts. They also were very secretive about their compensation package (only knew about it on the first day) compared to others who gave updated contracts months ago. Seems like they are trying to trap their trainees in this way.
