Thank you bro. My offers aren't great by any means. But I am proud that I've come this far. I couldn't make it to local u. Went overseas and worked super hard.
Local standards ( smu and nus) way higher. I can agree. Suss not so much because you cannot really give the law your everything when you have 3 kids and a FT job (this was said to me by a friend from suss). But I would say local grads are much less impressive these days. From what I have seen la at least. Mainly because current generation not that hardworking anymore tbh.... all want work life balance. 6pm chao from work. This is me being completely honest. No doubt NUS/ SMU FCH students are outstanding - but they aren't the ones complaining about overseas students are they HAHA?
I know there are overseas grads who got connection then can join places they don't deserve (but note that this happens for local u also. Albeit less often). But what about FCH student from overseas? We study also bro. Pass part A and B. And i would say I work much harder that my local u friends as I have imposter syndrome. Not saying Nottingham FCH = Nus FCH. But just think la. Not easy to get FCH anywhere. Have to study properly one. It's like the poly vs jc argument. Poly "easier to get better marks" but still hard to get 3.8-4.0 what. What you are saying is like poly students come steal your uni spot ley (assuming you from jc haha). Wake up la local u grads.
And pls la. Chinatown firms full of overseas grads. B4 full of local u grads. We ain't stealing s___ from you. The market treats us like trash. So to the local u students, I say this: if you're really work your salt ah, you will go b4 or international firm or at least a good mid sized firm - you dont belong at chinatown. If not you shut up and join the rest of us idiots and earn lousy pay. Tio bo?

For something to be stolen from you, it must be yours to begin with. This is the typical entitled Singaporean move. They do this in IT and banking fields too by saying foreigners steal jobs. From the little I know, 2nd lower is bottom 25% of your cohort? And you are saying overseas students are the reason for you not being able to get a good job? Be honest with yourselves...
You local grads just wait till they open up our profession and let foreigners in. Then we both can go drive grab together.

You just need 200k and average grades like BBB/3.2 poly GPA to apply. Many of those overseas schools don’t even require an interview to enter. Some even advertise their clearing places every year (QMUL for eg). The barriers of entry are way lower compared to medicine for example. In terms of the total cost of study and grade entry requirements.

Don't disagree with the general principle of your points.
However, to add some colour to the discussion, it's not entirely accurate to say that 2nd lower is bottom 25%.
Unlike in other faculties, in NUS Law, 2nd lower comprises about the bottom 40-45%. 2nd Upper is 45%. FCH is top 10%. Nobody gets 3rd class.
There are many bright kids who would otherwise have had no issues excelling academically, who have still obtained 2nd lower simply because the cohort competition is too intense, rampant grade deflation, and the band for 2nd lower is just too wide. A couple of less than stellar final exam results for some modules and one can easily drop from a 2nd upper to 2nd lower.
This might partially explain why local law grads feel 'entitled' vis-a-vis the perceived lack of rigour of foreign law grads (whether true or not, is debatable ofc).

Very true from anecdotal evidence. I know at least 2 friends from SMU who dropped out after a sem because they were struggling to cope and getting bad grades (3.0 gpa). Both of them went to Kings and got a FCH after graduation. I don’t think it was due to change in their academic ability when they moved over to London from Singapore. It’s simply because KCL gives out FCH too easily. Last I heard they gave out 30% FCH to their LLB class.
Simply from a probabilistic point of view, an NUS grad already loses out. Because he has to be within the top 10% to get that FCH compared to that Kings grad. Let’s not even talk about difference in academic rigour.

Not wanting to belittle your achievements but have you thought about why so many overseas grads struggle to pass even Part A?
