Most are doing some variation of 2-2.5k for first 6 months, and 3-4k for next 6 months.

I assume you’re referring to G50 form and reference checks. Have you already had some form of offer?

For the former, there is no benchmark answer but if you/spouse/family are Singaporean and no known adverse records, I cannot imagine it would take unduly long.

As for reference checks, you could assist the process by giving your referees a headsup so your previous employers don’t take too long to provide reference.

The above aside, try to also apply to other jobs so you don’t spend your days waiting for this outcome alone!

Nobody really cares tbh.. If you need to carry alot of documents they usually give you a roller suitcase.

Between the backpack and the briefcase, if you’re looking for something to contain your own laptop/stationary/personal effects, I say the briefcase works over the backpack. (To help carry court documents, this won’t be enough so use whatever the office gives) But be sensible about it in that please don’t blow a significant amount getting designer labels just in case not retained!
