I don't think they give out TCs to local grads.

Recently offered a senior legal counsel position in an GLC company. Should I make the jump now or forgo this opportunity? Comp is slightly (~10%) better than my current annual including bonus, but won't be better than my expected comp with promotion. I'm neutral on whether to continue doing liti but have no strong passion for inhouse work either.
Any thoughts would be appreciated from fellow lawyers who've been in like situation.

I would grab the new position.
The fact you’ve been trying to lateral out shows you’re not fully satisfied with your current firm. At partner level, you will be expected to demonstrate more BD skills. So the higher compensation does not come with no strings attached.
Do you really want to do liti until your 40a or 50s? Get the in house experience now, see if you can perform well and with the new skills get promoted to higher paying roles such as general counsel. If you don’t like it, can always come back to disputes in small/medium firms.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I've only had experience with laterals going into Latham.

If I’m aiming for magic circle / mid Atlantic and higher US firms - is silver circle or big 4 Corp a better launchpad?
Thanks
