We should expect some changes to come soon, but these are largely recommendations/guidelines which firms can still choose to ignore. Culture and attitudes don't change overnight.

Glad that CJ still highlighted it tho, a step in the right direction is better than nothing.

Practically, the value of dual qualification TCs are generally dependent on what the trainee wants out of it. Does the trainee want to relocate to another jurisdiction? Do the practice areas that the trainee is interested in require foreign law qualification?

Interesting take by a partner that US firms can't survive in Singapore, but as it stands Latham and Sidley seem to be doing quite well and paying top-of-market pay, so what gives?
