As far as I know the firms are:
- A&O: unsure, but can't be more than 4
- CC: 4
- HSF: 1-2 e&w, 1 rlt/ptc (prolegis)
- Latham: unsure, but can't be more than 4
- Links: 2-3 each year (they take sq NQs and make them do 18 month to be e&w qual)
- Sidley: unsure, but can't be more than 2-3
- Simmons: 2-3
- Ashurst: 1-2 (only rlt/ptc, but make you do 2 years training, only sg-qual)
- NRF: 3 rlt, 4 ptc (ptc may not be from rlt; unknown as to whether e&w qual, but most likely only sg-qual)

As in he outed himself as a white horse? Why would anyone do that?
All the white horse I know, never ever admit so, until they’re caught in a bind

WongP is good for m&a. Bird & Bird ATMD is known for TMT/IP. NRF is pretty good for int'l arbi.
But they're each different practices of law which require different competencies and personalities.

nrf's rainmaker partner (andrew battisson) also left recently to go to linklaters, in addition to kc lye / other lawyers mentioned in the thread above. their starting is 8.3k for NQ/1PQE so it's not much higher than the local firms, for an international firm. heard ascendant people are really nice and a great team tho.
