You are probably hired as a trainee which is why you are paid 1.2k which is the remuneration of a trainee.
Dont talk about bonus please. As a trainee you dont do enough work or rather, quality work to warrant a bonus.

Lol you are harsh mate. Yes he’s failed part B, he has probably completed his TC already. So what you have him call himself - paralegal?

If you fail part B and did not get called to the bar, you can apply for in house roles and be labelled as an in house legal advisor.
But if you are working in a private law firm, you are nothing but a trainee. You cannot do paralegal work because you do not have the qualifications a paralegal has. Neither can you call yourself a legal executive because you have not passed the bar.
Sad reality but the truth nonetheless. Its like going into JC and flunking A levels. You have nothing because even the poly graduates have a diploma but you dont.
I am not being harsh I am just giving them a reality check. There is no firm out there giving 1.2k salary for a legal executive. Hes either trolling or he/she is a trainee with wishful thinking.

If you got offered a disputes TC at birds & birds and drew & napier, which 1 will you pick? Birds is an international firm, but drew is known for disputes.

What a load of bull.
Legal exec is not a regulated position. A law firm can call them whatever title they want to call.
Some companies call their admin assistants / secretaries working in the legal department, legal execs even though these staff do not even have a law degree or any uni degree for that matter.
Is this the quality of critical thinking that junior lawyers have nowadays? smh

Drew duh. Just because a firm is an "international firm" doesn't mean it is good. There are plenty of international firms that are far less well regarded than B4.
The top international firm arbitration teams will happily recruit lateral associates from B4 (though it depends on the specific partner you work for also). They are unlikely to even shortlist candidates from a place like two birds.
