Not at all. If your intention is to do corp then a JLC stint is a waste of time and it may set you back in terms of your skills and experience. In terms of PQE, most local corp firms will still take you after your JLC stint without a cut to your PQE, but if you are gunning for top tier international firms, you may have to take a cut (if they even decide to take you, someone with no corp experience whatsoever).

Does ADTLaw (the formal law alliance firm of Ashurst) pay equivalent to London payscale?
I read that Ashurst had just raised their NQ pay to £115K per annum.
