2 going 3 PQE here. I intend to leave my firm once I complete the year. Im underpaid and no longer see a future. I’ve jumped a few times. Currently have spent 8-9 months at where I am.

1. Should I start applying now to the in house/govt/bigger firms/international practices. I intend to go for a holiday once I throw letter and leave, before resuming work again.

2. Would I jeopardize my application by putting a late start date? Something like June-July. That’s when I intend to start once coming back from holidays.

You start at NQ from Aug 2021 - December 2021.

You then become 1PQE in Jan 2022, and 2PQE in Jan 2023.
